FAQ
How is the furusato nozei limit set?
Roughly 20% of the income-based part of your resident tax for the donation year, adjusted by your income-tax rate. This tool estimates that levy from your salary and applies the standard formula.
Is the result exact?
It is a simplified estimate. Mortgage deductions, medical expenses, iDeCo contributions and a spouse's or dependants' income all move the real limit — confirm exact figures with your municipality or a tax adviser.
What is the deadline?
Donations must be completed (paid) by 31 December to count for that year. One-stop exception forms must arrive by 10 January of the following year.
Can salaried employees use it?
Yes — the calculation assumes salary income only. Side-business or rental income can shift the estimate.
